Originally from Philadelphia, I moved to Jackson in 2018 for what was supposed to be "just a ski season"—and never left. I earned a BFA in Art Education from Virginia Commonwealth University, focusing on Painting & Printmaking and Art History as my minors. I also studied studio art in Rome, Italy, which fueled my love for oil painting.

I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have lived in such diverse and scenic places. Growing up on the East Coast, then spending time in the South and Southwest—living in Richmond and Tucson—each place shaped my artistic perspective in different ways. I also spent a summer in Copenhagen and half a year in Rome, experiences that deepened my appreciation for design, architecture, and the layered history that influences my work today. While my path has taken me through many places, Jackson is home. It’s where I found my creative rhythm, and where I’ve built a life surrounded by mountains, community, and inspiration.

My love for painting started early—my mother is a painter, and I spent my childhood painting alongside her in the backyard. Those moments of mixing colors under the sun, surrounded by the sounds of nature, shaped the way I approach my work today. Being left-handed has also influenced my creative process—messy, unconventional, and full of collaged ideas.

Through Ally Giorno Studio, I create original oil paintings, fine art prints, block prints, hand-cut ornaments, and a small collection of cement sculptures. My studio is tucked into the loft of my condo in Rafter J, a cozy space where I bring my visions to life. My work explores experiences and moments in time through abstraction, color, and composition. By blending juxtaposed landscapes with rich, visceral hues, I aim to create a sense of tranquility and movement.

With two geometric wall murals under my belt—one for an interior design firm and another for a large-scale ceiling—I’m excited to take on more large-scale projects and push the boundaries of my creative expression.
